On shorter videos, the clip finder used to cut most of the video into back-to-back pieces. Many of them started in the middle of a thought.

Fewer, Better Moments

Clip selection now favors moments that work on their own, with a clear hook at the start and a payoff at the end, over back-to-back slices. On a nine-minute test video, ContentFries used to return ten slices covering most of the video. It now picks three standalone moments.

Long Videos Keep Their Range

For videos longer than ten minutes, we still aim for at least six clips when there are enough good moments.

Newer AI Models

We also moved clip finding, drafts and video analysis to newer AI models, replacing ones that were being retired.
